Paper size - letter (8 1/2 x 11)
Orientation - portrait
Margins - 0.75 inches (all)

Password Rules
All passwords are case sensitive.
Each password can be up to 10 characters and can consist of a combination of letters and numbers.
Passwords must be set up through the Taxation Office.

Exceeding 5 incorrect attempts to enter your password or Search Account number will result in your account being disabled until the next business day. Should this occur, a request for a tax search / tax certificate may be ordered by emailing

How do I open a Search Account?
In order to open a Search Account, a written request must be submitted to:

The request should be on Company letterhead indicating company name, billing address, contact name, telephone number and a password. This password can be any combination of letters or digits to a maximum of 10 characters. An initial deposit fee of $150.00 is required. This amount will be applied to the cost of initial tax searches.

What information is provided in a Tax Search?
Most commonly used by law firms, this report includes the legal description of the parcel, municipal address, current assessed value, year built, tax levy and local improvement information and current tax account balance.
What information is provided in a Tax Certificate?
Most commonly used by law firms for real estate transactions, this report shows the amount of taxes imposed in the year, the amount of taxes owing, and the total amount of tax arrears, if any. It also includes the legal description, municipal address of the property and monthly payment information, if applicable.
What information is needed to search for a property?
You may search for property information by Account Number, Street address, or Legal Description.
